Yah, Chi's right. I'm out. I told him last night. Part of me wants to make it, but its just not in the cards right now.

I can't wait to run the Protege again.

Travis, no problems. I miss seeing you too man. If I can get some things straightened out I plan on being down there soon in the future. I would love to go to some autox's and hang out with all the gang. It would be neat to hit a martin event too, Its been so long since i been to one.

I'm going to get all sentimental, but really, as gay as it sounds, i think autox with those groups down there saved my sanity in the last 4 years.

thumbsup.gif
*edit: I never had sanity to save, lets say made my life infinitly more enjoyable, the people, the good times, memories. Shit, stacking cones even. Like I said, never had sanity to save.... laugh.gif

P.P.S. What I wouldn't give to hang out with the groups like we used to, go out and eat afterwards or during the event. I really enjoyed announcing during events too. But I remember the trips to Arby's ( Dat ) and all the times we went afterwards somewhere and bench raced. George and his "great great day for racing and his animation on the mic...priceless stuff". It sucks I cant see Per and Kim while they bring Stig to the events either. sad.gif
Or watching Greg lay down just smoking times but always nicking a cone, and Ethan would beat him by like a fraction of a second. I always enjoyed watching Greg, everytime it was like, if he just keeps it clean it will be a smoking run....ohhhhh schnapps he hit a cone. "

Or the times Ian would get in my car and just trash what ever time I ran that I thought was good. My fondest memory was when I beat him in the MR2 at Deland. It was like slaying a dragon. The 80 USA team over Russia, do you believe in miracles.....yes!! Never mind that the car was attrocious to drive at the time... ( Jason Stroud, I see you getting ready to type something about my pushy MR2. tongue.gif )

Or the time all the fstock guys and Dingos wore pink at the Deland event that Kim was holding for the cancer walk. Matt Doctor ( Big Sexy as I call him ) painted his wheels pink. I have a picture of me and Matt framed working on the Mustang ( Rhonda ) in his drive way.

And what was a weekend without Papa Pete Lier giving me some kind of advice. To paraphrase the points it always sounded like every thing started with "Son, you are doing it wrong. " I love it.

Awesome times. I cant wait to see all my friends again.

Yah, and hanging out with you and your dad at Martin events, remember when I drove the miata and spun it on the first time driving it. Man, I sucked. LOL

I was there Thursday and Friday and saw a ton of people. Hopefully those of you who went made it by our booth. Yes, that was a real BRE Datsun 510 in the booth. Peter Brock was there, too. Cool show as always.
