First of all since SCCA has changed the Solo 1 program name to Time Trials, you may want to change the forum heading as well.
The 2005 Blueridge Hillclimb was held back in mid-May just off the beautiful Blueridge Parkway in northwestern North Carolina, near Sparta. We had 53 entrants with some new entrants and a few new hill records. King of the Hill for the second year was 5 time SCCA A mod National Champ, George Bowland. The big news of the weekend was the production of a feature length DVD of the event. I knew European companies had been covering their events with some great in-car video. I felt with the new SCCA Time Trial program and the improved technology the time was right to produce one here. Jim Haltom of Virginia Beach, VA had started a video intensive website to cover autocross events in Virginia a year ago (www.autocross.us) so I approached him. He agreed to do it so we approached the oranizers and the sponsors of the Blueridge Hillclimb and got their approval and support. The result of Jim's efforts have just been released and I am more than pleased with the result. He truely has captured the beauty of the Blue Ridge and the flavor of the event. You can view a trailer of the DVD and check the results at www.blueridgehillclimb.com The east coast has a very good program of SCCA Time Trials with the Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association covering the northeast and the SCCA Southeast Division covering the southeast.
