Hmmm. Single-course rules now add your best time from each heat, so you can't just pull one out of your azz on Sunday morning. Much more important to hit your setup early now.

Wow, I missed that the first time through. Good pick up Jer.

So on a single course you got to do it in three runs, three times! Rain will be a big factor and you can't just hang back.

Jerry, I think you put too much on adjusting setup during a competition. Focus on driving once you're there, not minor adjustments. Of course with your new car you have no idea how it's going to drive in competition so that may be different.

Good luck in Georgia.

Spoken like someone without experience in an Elise.

Finger Lakes was a very loose surface, less grip than anything we encountered anywhere last year. It took AJ and I quite a while to make the car handle there. Of course that paid off when we got to Topeka, as we started with the Finger lakes setup and it was hot out of the box.

On the new car, I'm hoping for some dry and some wet runs on Friday, but the car setup should be fast right away. Pat and Sammy hooked me up with a National Championship-winning starting point, so it should just be a process of playing with tire pressures. The key will be learning the limits quickly and how to address different elements. I expect at some point to be spinning and thinking "Well, THAT didn't work!"

I can't wait!! drool.gif
