As most of you know or don't know. I'm up in Jacksonville living the dream selling MINI Coopers.
Part of our training process is to take MINI classes online. Yesterday was pretty slow due to the weather, so I thought it would be a great time to get some training points. I started a video training course on the MINI Cooper Clubman. To my surprise guess who was the test driver in the video?

You guessed it, Matt Ferratusco!

It was pretty cool to see him in a professional video. I said to our sales manager, "that's the guy who taught me how to auto x!"

Thanks for all of your training Matt!

Sorry for such a late response. I was told about this thread during the autocross last weekend, I had no idea it was here! Thanks for the mention, Mungomini.

We filmed the comparison test in October 2007 at Moroso Motorsports Park, now known as Palm Beach International Raceway. The comparison test featured the new (at the time) MINI Cooper Clubman and Clubman S, as well as new (at the time) BMW models including 128, 135, 335, and 6 series. Each car being tested was compared against 3 cars in its class, so we had about 30 cars to test in 3 days! It was tremendous fun, and hard work at the same time. Each car was compared to each of its 3 competitors, in 4 different categories -- acceleration, braking, slalom, and 'autocross' (which was actually the race track). Once we did all the comparisons, we then drove each car on the track for exterior shots, then again for interior shots. For the interior shots, cameras were placed inside each car to film the drivers commentating about the cars as we drove them on the track.

I was assigned to the Cooper Clubman and its 3 competitors. Therefore I had a total of 12 segments to talk about -- the aforementioned categories for each of 3 cars. We spent a day filming outside the West Palm Beach convention center, where my partner interviewed me about the cars. I then interviewed him about the cars he was assigned to -- the Clubman S and its competitors. The BMW interviews were done by the chief instructor at Skip Barber and my partner on the MINI comparison. Though we were assigned to speak about certain cars, we each pretty much drove everything for the filming of the tests.

Bert -- whoops, sorry! Do you have a DVD recorder? smile.gif

Gerald, I doubt it's on YouTube as it is used in-house for sales training at MINI.
