Drive down and hit Sedona, AZ. Weekends can be kind of crowded, but it's beautiful. While you're there, keep driving south on Hwy 89A into Jerome, AZ. It's a little mining town built on the side of a STEEP mountain. It's a neat place to walk around and read all the historical plaques. The views from some of the shops and the Jerome Grand Hotel are spectacular. If you still want more and mobody gets carsick, keep going south on 89A into Prescott. There's nothing thre, but the road is a mini-dragon....158 curves in 12 miles. Heading south you're against the mountain, but going north you're on the edge of a cliff with SOME guardrails. In places, the white edge line on the road is chipping away. It's not usually real crowded so you can go as fast or slow as you need. Bondurant driving school is also down in Phoenix. smile.gif

I'm jealous.....I miss the desert in a BAD way. Make sure to drink plenty of water even if you're not thirsty. Also, keep in mind the critters out there can put a serious hurtin on you if provoked. Enjoy your trip and don't lose too much in Vegas

I feel I need to second what was just posted. You will really enjoy that area. I was there as a kid and am looking forward to when I can return. Yes, I have fond memories of that area. ENJOY

What are you doing sticking up for Vette guys?

As the link that you were so kind to attach states it's also called a Track Event.

"Welcome to Driver Education, also called Track Events. The mission and purpose of the Porsche Club of America's Driver's Education Program is to provide a safe, structured and controlled teaching and learning environment. The PCA DE Program is designed so that participants can improve their driving abilities and acquire a better understanding of vehicle dynamics and driving safety. Participants will experience first-hand the capabilities of high performance automobiles in a controlled, closed-course environment and acquire skills that will enhance safer vehicle operation in all driving situations."

The PCA is smart enough not to call it a "Porsche Driving School." They would get too many pokes in the eye if they did that.

I'm impartial, I like both Corvettes and Porsches actually, especially since I fit comfortably in neither...that was me trying to be cynical. biggrin.gif
