Hey Guys- I have my girlfriends Pathfinder while she is out of town- Engine light is on and brakes are super touchy- Was not sure who has a shop- looking for possibly a tune up and see what else is wrong- Nissan wants $100 bucks just to tell me blahhhh- If anyone can help me out that would be awesome- and give me a ballpark price!!! thanks Bradley

The squishy brakes- Check the brake master cylinder and make sure it is topped off with fluids. Bleeding her brakes with all new fluids might be a nice thing to do for her while she is out of town.

The Check-Engine-Light- Take it up to Autozone (or Advance or PepBoys or wherever) and they can hook up an OBD reader for free and tell you what's up. The ECU might pull multiple "old" codes so it may not be a bad idea to get it checked twice (once to see what codes come up and have the guy reset the codes, drive it around for a little while and get it checked again to see if any new/repeat codes popped up). Don't trust "old" codes.
