Looking for a reliable local or online vendor to source a quality Catalytic Converter for my '01 Legacy Outback (Manual Trans) Part number 44139AE11A.
I am hoping to find one for a better price than what I have been finding so far... with the exception of the Bosal brand it seems this part lists for $1k and I'm having a hard time swallowing that!
Anyone have any information?

This is a follow up to my PM. Jeff called me right back and said its tough to accurately check parts pricing without looking at the car. He called his one part supplier who said that there were multiple cat variations for that year car including a mid year change, ULEV cars, California cars and some cars with up to 3 cats. He said that if its a multi cat, cat, it can be flow tested to see if the entire cat requires replacement or just a portion. So its complicated and potentially cheaper to fix unless you have the mind set to replace the whole thing. Anyway, if you want you can call him direct, its Jeff, he's the owner of the Sanford AAMCO, 407-322-0564. I gave him your name and said you might be calling. If you are 100% on just replacing the entire thing he'll get you some pricing on just the parts. He stopped calling around after talking to the one supplier who complicated the matter.
Good luck.

George thanks, though I am suspect of a cat less then $300, the Bosal is about that price. Glen, thank you for the info, I may follow up with your contact, I have the part number and I know the production date.
