Anyone know of a shop in Orlando that can install a limited slip on a Miata? Just got the internals for a stock LSD for the MX-5.

I am sure Irish Mikes can do that. If I think of any other shop in town I'll post more.

Another vote for advanced driveline. I think you would need to take the diff. off the car and take it too them. That's what they told me when I asked about having mine done.

Another vote for Advaned Driveline. The last two times I've been there I've replaced everything inside the carrier, so not sure how they would handle yours. Ask for George.

Thanks everyone. I called & talked to them. I'm just gonna take out the rear pumpkin and bring them the internals for the LSD. They said it shouldn't be a problem.
DuckyD
How much did they quote you?
Dat10am
He said $225 if I bring him the rear end and the internals.

I wouldn't take it to Irish Mikes (sorry Kevin)... I took mine (my old Miata) there a while back and they fudged it up. I had a slight leak at the front pinion seal. They wanted more money to fix their mistake. sad.gif

No sweat, I have no strong allegiance with Irish Mikes. biggrin.gif I just have a rapport with many of the guys there and that tends to work in my favor most of the time. Threads like this are great so we can expand our choice of good local vendors.
Dat, let us know how your your experience goes.

Theres only one guy i'd take my diff to, because he's anal as hell, and takes his time... very important, when comapred to a place that is trying to get it done as fast as possible so that their 'jobs per hour' looks better... sure, it'll likely work, but is it as good as it could be, with the right patterns, etc?

Well, if you want someone really anal working on your rear...... uh.... scratch that... If you want someone who REALLY cares, and will mawork on the diff, and assemble/reassemble as many times as it takes to get it right.... well.. shoot me a PM and i'll send you some contact info.. this guy is located in Brooksville, but shipping works smile.gif

He's broadening his horizons smile.gif ... he'll work on a lot of things, and Miatas are definitely one of them.... 350z's also.
