Full Version: I Think I Have Been Running In The Wrong Class

I have been running SMST but after talking to a guy who runs SCCA ESP alot I think my H brace is illegal. Doe a H brace on a Subaru dump me into FP?

Yep, you're good under MSCC's SMST rules...what I think you're referring to is that those under-body h-braces are not legal in SCCA's street prepared classes and it would bump you up to a prepared class (just like triangulated rear strut tower braces are not legal in SCCA street prepared). For example, my car is essentially and under-prepared BSP car...and I cannot run one of those h-braces under BSP rules...it would bump me up into a prepared class. But anything goes (essentially) under MSCC's SMST rules...you just have to run steet tires (IE: 140+ treadwear or higher).
