First off, let me introduce myself. Name is Will, 23, born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, been living in Eustis for about 8 months or so. I literally live a few minutes from Lake Tech and had no idea there was an Auto-X event there until tonight. When I moved up here I traded my 95 Jetta VR6 for a 92 GTI 8v. A drop in power but a much more fun car to drive. It's pretty much stock, KYB GR-2s, 16" TSW Hockenheims (beat tires), and a ton of maintenance. She needs a little body work here and there, maybe some springs/coilovers in the future, but she runs strong. I've been hitting up some twisty roads around here but I am looking forward to putting 'er through the ringer in a legal manner. Anywho, I look forward to meeting you guys and having some fun. thumbsup.gif Here are some pictures of the beast, I should have some new 215/40's coming in tomorrow biggrin.gif

My car is like Zoolander, it really has only one good angle biggrin.gif

Welcome Wagen, (pun intended) You're young so if you don't get it let me know and I'll explain.

You'll have a good time this Sunday. We've got what should be a fun course. All the members and guests are very helpful so don't be afraid to approach anyone with questions. Don't forget to pre-register at myautoevents.com.

Thanks Maxcat! I get the pun biggrin.gif

I'm looking forward to stopping by on Sunday, but do you have to be a member of MSSC to be eligible to run on Sunday? Thanks to Christmas my funds are low, so the $40 "initiation" fee plus another $30 to race will be breaking the bank on my spending budget for the week seeing as I just bought some new tires. I may just come to spectate and talk shop with you guys. I've never autocrossed really, mostly stick to backroads, but I'm excited to get out there! thumbsup.gif

*EDIT* I probably should've read up on myautoevents.com, this event is open to members and non-members. Sweet! Now let's see if I can keep myself from buying anything else this week...

If myautoevents wasn't clear you would not have to pay an initiation fee, thats for becoming a member. Your cost would only be the $30.
