Hey everyone!

My name is Steve, I go by SteveO on various forums, I'm new to autocross, but I help out quite often at CFRC at their autocross events. I'm on here to meet new people and as well as to give a heads up on upcoming events at CFRC in relation to autocross (if that is fine with the moderator staff).

I'm currently driving a 03 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, but I'm looking to sell it to buy most likely a Miata. I was out today at the event at Lake County Tech, and I hope to continue coming out.

Hell0--Steve0, hope you had a good time and will race with us next month, remember, please that our next month's outing is Feb 7th----not the 14th, we didn't want to have another Valentine's Day Disaster!

I should be able to attend that, I'm not sure whether I'll drive though. CFRC plans to do their next Autocross on the 6th, so I'll be busy with that, but thanks for the heads up!

So how is CFRC these days? Have they straightened up their mess? I was so excited that a new racing venue was created, but its not all that safe for the cars out there... I understand its a slow process, but its going to get there eventually I guess.

I know quite a few people that would love to attend, but after stories of cars getting damaged and the lack of run-off space, they stay away...

Regardless, thanks for being part of another outlet for us automotive enthusiasts...

And remember, just like MSCC, there is also SCCA; there is just not enough racing events in a month...

I don't work there, so I'm no representative, but from my opinion- only time will tell. CFRC is working hard to improve their complex, and it's very apparent, if you went to CFRC in its earliest months it was very different from what it is now, in a good way. But you're right, there isn't much run-off, nothing like any of Sebring or RA, but in my opinion, that really only applies to when they do time attack, and they'll be working on that issue as well.

However for autocross, unless you are an idiot, you won't get near anything that could damage your car. CFRC had a drifting event out on the same pad about a week ago and absolutely no one damaged their car because of not having enough room.

But CFRC and I are more than willing to hear your feedback.

Oh man, don't remind me of Harry losing a bumper to the tire wall. That made my heart sink!

So do we really have the real Steve O as a possible member, or just somebody who loves the guy! LOL
